HAPPY HOLIDAYS, livefoodfactorfriends!
From The Wilderness Woman & The HighJoy Horse
On December 14th, 2011
I have been sooooo busy and having so much FUN
the last many weeks with a full house of 3 - 4 guests
at all times at Our Hygiene Homestead in The Woods!
I have been assisting many very serious Health Seekers
to spend their time resting and sleeping while fasting and learning
and doing everything else right to get the jobs done
for which they have come.
But I do think of you all every day.
I pray you are well and enjoying life!
We are having bright, bright sunny days here in Concrete.
The air is nippy, but our Homestead and our beds are warm and cozy!
Winter is the perfect time for a taking The Correct Natural Hygiene Fast here! Guests are encouraged to leave their stress at the gates, to sleep or at least rest til noon, to be up and about a little in study until dark, then go to bed with the chickens! It has been getting dark about 4:00 P.M.
The short winter days encourage the much needed resting and sleeping.
This way, The Health Seeker is hibernating -- just like the bears --
and they come out slimmer, healthier, and happier when it is all over
-- just like the bears!
WE WISH YOU WERE HERE!
I want to share this delicious and festive recipe today...
AND... A 2 BOOKS IN 1 YEARBOOK SPECIAL
OFFER to come tomorrow
AND... throughout December --

YOUR YUMMY CHRISTMAS
WREATH FEAST! -- Italian Style -- THE 5 STEPS TO YOUR MERRY MEDITERRANEAN MEAL... #1 -- FOR YOUR WINE, MAKE CONCORD GRAPE JUICE -- OR ANY GRAPE JUICE -- AND SERVE IT IN FANCY, TOASTING GLASSES! (If straight grape juice is just too sweet for your taste, you can always cut it with water or celery juice or any other non-sweet juice to your liking. If you want the alcohol kick of your former drinking days, you can always add a little ginger juice and/or lime or lemon juice.) #2 -- START WITH A BIG, ROUND DINNER PLATE FOR EACH PERSON.
#3 -- SERVE THE PREPARED DINNER PLATES WITH A PLATTER OF RAW CRACKERS FOR YOUR BREAD. (We used Lydia's Sunflower Seed Bread. But any fine, raw cracker will do!) #4 -- MAKE A TOAST TO... "A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, 2011!" #5 -- PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE MEAL YOU ARE ABOUT TO SOOOOO ENJOY! THE CHRISTMAS WREATH SPAGHETTI SALAD .. * Lay down a bed of whole, red-tipped leaf lettuce so that the red tips go to the edges of the plates. .. * Spiralize 2 small zucchini and 1/2 large cucumber for each person attending. . * Mix well the spiralized zucchini and cucumber in a large bowl. Handle the long strands gently. . * Leave 3 to 4 inches at the top of each big dinner plate for the Christmas Wreath Pesto Bow. On top of the red-tipped lettuce, place the spiralized mix into a well-formed and generously laid out and piled up circle. Be sure to leave a hollowed-out center for The Christmas Wreath Spaghetti Sauce. * Decorate the Wreath with several "holly berry bunches of 3" made of fruit juice sweetened cranberries. * Place a generous serving of the Spaghetti Sauce into the hollowed out center of The Christmas Wreath. It is soooo delicious! So, keep a bowl on the table for seconds! * Thick-dust the Sauce with Pineapple Powder from Just Tomatoes, Etc. for a Parmesan cheese look! THE CHRISTMAS WREATH SPAGHETTI SAUCE * Always keep The Thick-Sliced, Sun-Dried, Organic Tomatoes I offer from "The Great & Yummy GetWell Order Form" on hand! They eat like candy, they are so sweet and tart. They actually taste like a variety of spices have been added, but none have! You get a pound for $22 postpaid. This makes 2 quarts, loosely packed = less than 1/2 the going price is the stores.
* THE BASIC SPAGHETTI SAUCE FORMULA: The Thick-Sliced, Sun-Dried, Organic Tomatoes + fresh tomatoes (The fresh tomatoes don't even have to be flavorful since the dried are!) VITA-MIX these 2 simple ingredients to the thickness and consistency you want. .. * THE BASIC SPAGHETTI SAUCE FORMULA VARIATIONS: The dried tomatoes do not even need to be soaked. If you do not soak them, the sauce has more texture. It is up to you. Your imagination is the limit here! But honestly, if you use The Thick-Sliced, Sun-Dried, Organic Tomatoes I offer, you will be thrilled with the flavor and the price! Neveretheless, for those of you who want "MORE FLAVORS!" -- you can add 1 or more of the following: onion, garlic, orange juice to thin out the sauce, ginger, and any number of herbs. Since so many herbs are used in the Pesto Bow, I used none in this sauce recipe. * Cut perfect Red Bell Pepper rings. Cleverly fan out 5 or 6 at the Wreath top where you have left space.
. * Loosely fill your VITA-MIX container: 1/2 of the Pesto mix is spinach, and the other is FRESH herbs. I used what I had on hand: cilantro, dill, parsley, green onion, and basil. Add just a very little orange and lime juice for a starter. VITA-MIX well. Then add 1 small avocado for each guest. Mix until creamy. I only like Pesto with a little sweetness. So, at the end, I hand-stir in dried cherries! (You may want to chop them.) This Pesto will come out stiff enough to stand up! Pile the Pesto onto the bottom 1/3 of the Red Bell Rings where they meet the Wreath, leaving the top 2/3 of the Rings showing. Garnish the Pesto with whole dried cherries. | ||||
