WHAT JUST TOMATOES DOESN'T TELL YOU!
TAKE THESE SHORT CUTS WITH HIGH & ME!
***
*** Remember: Technically, these are processed foods. They have gone through flash-freeze-drying. So, about 30% of their once-available nutrition is gone, gone, gone. BUT THEY ARE STILL "LIVE" FOODS! Most of the nutrition and fiber and enzymes are intact. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN COOKED! And you are getting so much of most nutrients beyond what your body can even use on your all-raw or mostly all-raw diet that this little 30% loss can be well afforded for the fun and tastebud thrills you get in trade!
***
*** If you stop to compare, you will find that the "Certified Organic" versions cost just a very little more per pouch, so you may as well get them "Certified Organic."
***
*** These really are "powders" = very light and fluffy! They will cake and get hard if moisture gets into the re-sealable bags they come in. And believe me, if you live where you have humidity, rain, or snow, that will happen! Then, you will have to regrind them. So, do transfer the powders from their pouches immediately into the 1-cup or 1-pint glass canning jars with the rubber-seal lids and twist on caps.  After you use the powders, put the caps back on immediately! Do not let them sit around opened. You can get a set of 12 of these at all grocery stores in lovely, little, fancy jars that will last forever. They even come with labels you can write on with a permanent marker so you can tell some of the same-colored powders apart. VERY SWEET!
***
*** Get many flavors of the powders. They will last  a long time if you use them as  little garnishes and decorations the way most all of the ideas below call for. The many flavors and colors available brought into your kitchen and displayed in their darling, miniature jars will clearly excite your imagination to NEW LIVE-FOOD HEIGHTS!
FUN!  FUN!   FUN!

WHAT JUST TOMATOES DOESN'T TELL YOU!
HIGH JOY SECRETS FOR USING FRUIT POWDERS!

#1... The most obvious FUN to be had is to put on A FRUIT POWDER PARTY with your 12 different-flavored pouches emptied into your 12 little, labeled jars. Invite a friend or 2. And just sit around a comfy spot and taste away! It is most fun to do one jar at a time. Hide the label. Ask your taster to close eyes and smell. Pop some in the taster's mouth with eyes closed and request that the powder be savored. Use tiny, Alice in Wonderland spoons; and include a saucer and a napkin and something to drink, to do it up right. Then let the TASTING PARTY FUN begin! Let the taster guest guess! VERY FUN! [ If germaphobes are among you, then each has to have his or her own spoon; and each jar has to have its own spoon; and each germaphobe has to transfer the powder from the jar spoon to his or her spoon without any spoons touching. (Talk about taking away the joy of being spontaneous!) If no germaphobes are among you, then, FIRE AWAY! You can go all the way! You can smell right from the full jar and lay the tongue across the full jar to pick up a coated tongue serving! You can marvel at the smells and the flavors without the fears of the germaphobics.]

#2... The next most obvious and the most expensive use is just stirring a goodly portion of any one of the flavors into a juice or a smoothy to kick the taste up or to add a new flavor. Always wanting to stretch my dollar, I may have never thought to do this. But when I sent off a "Gratitude Box" of Great & Yummy GetWell Edibles for a GetWell Friend who made a lovely donation and he wrote back that the fruit powders were "really nice in a smoothy," I did have to try it. And he was right! DELICIOUS FUN!

#3... Up until now, our quickest, easiest substitute for refined, fine-granulated, white sugar as been processed, coarse-granulated, brown, raw-date-sugar. The date sugar does have a taste the closest to white sugar: if that is what you are seeking, stay with it. But now? You can also fill that holdover from The SAD diet... the sugar bowl ...with these wonderful light and fluffy powders! These fruit powders will definitely have the flavor of the fruit from which it is made: if that is fine with you, what lovely, deliciously sweet choices you have for your sugar bowl! (The "bowl," of course, will have to be the little jar itself... to keep out the moisture.) Remember: all the moisture has been removed, ALL THE MOISTURE! So, these fruit powders are super, concentrated in sugar = SUPER, SUPER SWEET! A heaping tablespoon or even a heaping teaspoonful can go a very long ways in a single serving, which means a pouchful... even at $5 to $8 each... can also go a very long ways.

#4... If you watch The Cooking Channel, and particularly Chopped, Iron Chef, Top Chef, and Sweet Genius for food prep ideas, you will know all about the technique called "DUSTING." OH, MY GOSH! THESE POWDERS ARE JUST MADE FOR DUSTING! It is SO FUN! Basically, you find a fine-netted strainer, could be a tea-leaf strainer. You put a very small amount of the powder in and gently shake or tap the strainer over the crop you want to dust! A lovely, perfect layer of fruit dust the color of the fruit itself will top your dish or drink, while adding sweetness to the top layer! FUN!

#5... OH, MY GOSH! USE THE POWDERS MIXED INTO GROUND NUTS WITH A DASH OF JUICE! This is how my 5 flavorings of seasonings at The Guesthouse just sell themselves! During one of my many "Victoria's Secrets" demonstrations, I make a 1/2 cup of ground nut powder in seconds in a little coffee grinder.  I drop the nut powder into a bowl, add the juice of just 1/4 - 1/2 of one orange or some other juice on hand. (I could use nut butter if it is handy, but then I would add even less juice as nut butter is already rather oily-moist.) Next, I cut the once-nut-powder and now-nut-paste into 2 bowls and add, for instance, Tomato Bolt! to one and leave the other plain. With fingerfood veggies spread out on the table, Our Hygiene Homestead guests and I indulge. YUMMY! We all agree that the nut-paste made with the Tomato Bolt! is outrageously delicious compared to that made without!  (One of my last October guests to leave ordered $420 in seasonings after such a demonstration!) Served with veggie "crudites" (the gourmet name for "fingerfood veggies"), this quick-to-fix appetizer creates such a filling snack that it can also serve as an entire meal! Well,  Deer livefoodfactorfriends, you all know what I am leading up to here... right? You can do the same with the fruit powders! Just a little bit goes a long ways.
***
#6... MAKE A NUT PASTE OR A VERY THICK AVOCADO DIP LACED WITH FRUIT POWDER FOR AN ADDED FLAVOR, PUT THE PASTE OR DIP INTO A COOKIE-DECORATING GUN, PICK YOUR TIP, AND SHOOT! The designs are darling and delightful! The delicious flavors are over the top!
***
#7... THE COOKING CHANNEL PROGRAMS ALSO USE THE TECHNIQUE TERM "DRIZZLE." AND THE FRUIT POWDERS WERE JUST MADE FOR DRIZZLING! Start with a very little juice of choice. Stir in powder until the juice way thickens up. Pour the thick juice/powdery mix into a soft-plastic bottle made for the job. (You can get these in the cake decorating section of crafts stores.) NOW DRIZZLE AWAY! BECOME A LIVE-FOOD ARTIST IN SECONDS!
***
#8... THICKEN UP YOUR DRIZZLE UNTIL IT IS A PASTE.  PUT IT INTO THE BOTTLE. YOU CAN ACTUALLY WRITE WITH IT OR OTHERWISE CONTROL WHAT YOU DESIGN, UNLIKE THE DRIZZLE, WHICH IS THINNER AND TENDS TO JUST MAKE PUDDLE-LINES OR PUDDLE-LIKE DESIGNS.
***
#9... THE FRUIT POWDERS CAN GO INTO HOT WATER TO MAKE A SWEET-SMELLING, MILD-FRUIT TEA. Use just a little bit to give just a hint of flavor like the pricey designer waters do. Or add more. FRUIT POWDER TEA = NO POISONS... like some of the teas out there, even the herbal teas.

#10...THIS LAST ITEM COULD BE TURNED INTO A BOOK. I HAVE BEEN WORKING HOURS ON TODAY'S BROADCAST ALREADY. (That is a hint for an e-mail of gratitude from everyone of you!) AND IT IS LATE. SO I AM GOING TO LET YOUR IMAGINATION TAKE OVER HERE. BUT REALLY AND TRULY, THIS LIVE-FOOD FUN GETS US AT THE GUESTHOUSE LAUGHING TO TEARS... OR WORSE! The fruit powders can be used to turn your live-food edibles into stories and faces and animalitos and landscapes and cosmic space = TOO FUN! I will close with just one example: I cut the 2 "cheeks" off a very large mango and plated one of them on a bed of lettuce. THEN THE FUN BEGAN! Peeled kiwi rounds made amazing, enchanting eyes. Then my Green Whipped Creme recipe turned into thick, playful hair on top and on the sides. It was highlighted with cherry powder. Whole blueberries gave a sweet, inviting smile. 2 little pomegranate seeds posed as a perky, little nose. Raspberry powder made the rosy cheeks blush. Dried persimmon slices adorned both sides of the face as they hung down as fancy earrings. OUR LIVE-FOOD FACE WAS HILARIOUS!

    GOOD NIGHT, SWEET livefoodfactorfriends!
