Virtually all veggies and definitely all herbs have some small amounts of natural toxins in them. TO MAKE THESE ORIGINAL HIGHJOY RECIPES
SHORT & SWEET, OF COURSE...
PEEL, PIT, WASH & OTHERWISE PREPARE THE FOODS!
RECIPES WILL SERVE 2 - 3 HUMAN VEGGIE DRINKERS
OR JUST WET THE APPETITE OF 1 HIGHJOY HORSE!
#1... GARDEN VEGGIE JUICE!
Juice: 3 tomatoes + 1 green bell pepper + 1 red bell pepper
+ 1 cucumber + 2 celery ribs + 1 lemon. VITA-MIX the juices with 5 large ice cubes or serve the juice over ice cubes. Garnish with a celery rib or 2 that have fluffy tassels.
#2... CABBAGE PATCH TONIC!
Juice and stir together: 1/2 head cabbage + 6 celery ribs
+ 4 apples. Juice in 1 inch of ginger root for an extra ZINNNNG!
Juice and stir together: 10 carrots + 4 apples
+ 1 bunch of parsley + 4 celery ribs + a little fresh dill
+ a handful of basil + other herbs of choice.
#4... VEGGIE SPRING POTION!
Juice and mix together: 1 large beet + 20 asparagus stalks
+ 4 carrots + 4 or more big kale leaves
+ 1/4 head red cabbage + 2 apples.
If not sweet enough, add more carrot or apple.
Juice in a little parsley or herbs of choice.
#5... CAN'T BEET THIS LICORICE DRINK!
Juice and stir together: 2 large beets + 6 carrots
+ 1 cup chopped fennel + 2 tart apples.
Juice together: 6 tomatoes + 1 cucumber + 4 ribs celery
+ small amounts of basil, dill, and ginger root.
#7... SWEET VEGGIE HIGHJOY!
Juice and stir together: 6 carrots + 1 cucumber
+ 1 green bell pepper + 1 handful of watercress
+ a little parsley + a good handful of spinach + 2 apples. |
