HOLLY'S STILL HAVIN' FUN...

TO MAKE
HOLLY'S  HOMEMADE RAWPPLE CRUST:

INGREDIENTS
2 Cups walnuts soaked about 3 hours = until soft
2 Tablespoons coconut oil
1 Tablespoon agave
1/2 Cup pitted & packed-in-tight dates
 .
  • Drain the walnuts & place them & the dates into a food processor with an "S" blade. Process these 2 ingredients until a thicky, sticky pie dough forms.

  • Work the coconut oil & agave into the dough by hand until all is well-mixed.
  •  .
  • Press the Rawpple Pie dough into a 9-inch class pie dish for the formed crust. Then dehydrate the Rawpple Crust for 4 hours! YUMMY!

    TO MAKE  
    HOLLY'S HOMEMADE RAWPPLE FILLING:
     
    INGREDIENTS
    5 or 6 Peeled apples, sliced real thin
    Juice of 1 lemon
    1/4 Cup date sugar stirred into  1/4 cup apple juice
    1/4 Cup vanilla agave
    A few dashes of cinnamon
    1/3 Cup raw oat groat flour or almond flour
     .
  • Put the apple slices into a bowl & toss them thoroughly with the lemon juice.

  • Mix in the agave, the date sugar & apple juice mix, the cinnamon & the flour-of-choice. Toss the apple slices real good until they are coated with the flour.
  •  . .
  • NOW, place this Rawpple Filling into 2 separate glass pie dishes, spread out the Filling & dehydrate the dishes for 6 hours. Stop & gently stir the Filling every 2 hours. If the Filling starts to dry out, add a little apple juice until the apple slices plump & soften up. The Filling will resemble the insides of SAD apple pie = thick, moist, apple-tizing to the touch, sight & smell! But Holly's Rawpple Filling -- just 4 us 4livefoodfactorfriends will be all raw, will be made without refined sugar and flour & will hoard no poisons!

  • FINALLY, remove the Filling & place it into the Rawpple Pie Crust awaitin'. Dehydrate the now complete Rawpple Pie for 2 more hours. .                                                                                .
  • NOW ENJOY! For Warm Rawpple Pie, enjoy the second it comes out of the dehydrator! For Chilled Rawpple Pie, go from dehydrator to ice box for several hours -- THEN ENJOY!
