SUGGESTIONS FOR PUTTING UP YOUR TREES...
#1 -- Of course, 1st, you must "cut down" the trees! These are simply the styrofoam cones you find at the crafts store.
#2 -- Gather your Christmas Tree trimmings: cherry tomatoes are essential and various greens and any fruit or veggie that can be cut into adorable rounds and that will hold a toothpick... just shop at the produce section with your imagination!
#3 -- Toothpicks are absolutely essential! You can insert the little bits of living foods into the Christmas Tree so that the toothpicks do not even show! Or you can get multi-colored, fancy-topped toothpicks or same-colored, fancy-topped toothpicks to add to the decorations.
#4 -- I have never tried to bring lights onto the Christmas Trees. But next year, I will try that and take pictures. The tiny rice lights out there now would be most charming. They could peek through tiny holes in cabbage leaves that cover the entire cone so that none of the wires show. And the live-food ornaments could go over top the cabbage leaves!
#5 -- As you can see, 2 of the Christmas Trees in the photos are decidedly uniform in their patterns, while the other 2 are freelance. You decide!
#6 -- The live-food decorations are definitely meant to be eaten! So do keep bowls of dips and sauces around the trees. The Cranberry Relish from Our Thanksgiving Feast out of 2 BOOKS IN 1: The Health Seekers' YearBook with The Best of Common Health Sense would be YUMMY served here:
TRADITIONAL CRANBERRY RELISH
1 pound of fresh, raw cranberries
1 pound of raisins (or blueberries, currants, cherries)
4 exceedingly flavorful, large oranges, peeled & skinned
3 cored & peeled & diced pears
#1... Combine all the ingredients. Then split them into 2 bowls.
#2... VITA-MIX into a fairly chunky consistency one bowl of ingredients.
#3...  VITA-MIX into a chunkier consistency the other bowl of ingredients.
#4... Now mix all the ingredients thoroughly, cover with a tight lid, and let chill. This recipe is best when chilled overnight, to let the flavors mingle -- one with the other.
(NOTE: This recipe is so YUMMY! You can serve TRADITIONAL CRANBERRY RELISH all on its own with celery sticks and lettuce for a complete "Thanksgiving Leftovers Snack!" VERY FILLING... VERY SWEET... VERY YUMMY!)

#7 -- MAKING THE LIVE-FOOD CHRISTMAS TREES WITH LOVED ONES IS YET ANOTHER WAY TO SHARE CHRISTMAS CHEER! Better than sitting around grouchy and smoking cigarettes and drinking whiskey with a "Bah Humbug" attitude!
#8 -- Charles Dickens' classic tale -- A Christmas Carol -- would also be a wonderful way to enjoy and enrich...
